Update: In outline form

Can't be bothered to write in full sentences... really really knackered so.... here we go!

- Quit my job 4 days early after my boss accusing me of trying to fuck him over and calling me fat at my going away party. fuck him.

- Chilled in Venice for 4 shitty days. Well, had a lovely time saying goodbye to "my man" (sniff sniff) but we will see each other in a month and we text every day (WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO ME! I AM SUCH A ROMANTIC SUCKER!)

- Saturday Morning: Train to Torino (Turin). Loved it. Beautiful smaller city, very Parisian. Pretty touristy, but lovely. I have been to the river Po! Was feeling very strange decompressing, but it was wonderful!

- Sunday Morning: Train to Le Cinque Terra (Five Villages - Hiking central!) Pesto was invented here. Amazing wine. Met a lovely girl from Seattle, Monika. Will stay in touch with her. Monday - Hiked (you hike from village to village) I HAVE NEVER SEEN WATER SO BLUE! Amazing!!!!! Hiking through olive fields. AMAZING! Ugh! It is an amazing place. I can't recommend it more, and am too lazy to describe it more... hehehehehe Tuesday - Ran some of the trails (3 hours of running up mountains - still sore- hehehehehe). Got a great pick up line on the trail "Nice Ipod" by a guy with an ipod. hehehehe Amusing. Fed the homeless cats with tins of tuna I carried in my day pack. Wednesday - rainy. Chilled on the rocks and swam a little. then more rain - shoes soaking, tired of wearing plastic bags over my socks. Made some other lovely friends.

- Thursday - woke up and wanted to leave Cinque Terra (the hostel thought I was a lush for drinking 4 beers in one night and kept commenting on it) Headed to Pisa. Saw Pisa.

- Stayed the night in the medieval town of San Gimignano. LOVELY! Tuscany is even more beautiful than I could have imagined!!!!!! I am in love!!!!!! Really: everyone says it, was skeptical - it is amazing.

- Keep running into this Kiwi family in Cinque Terra, the bus to San Gimignano ... then ran into them at the hostel in Sienna, where I spent the next night.

- Wandered around Sienna - went into a tiny restaurant recommended by my guide book: in walks in my cousin, Matt’s roommate from London!!!! Chris (the roommate - I had crashed at their flat for almost 2 weeks this spring) is now living in Paris and was chasing Bob Dylan concerts with a friend through Italy for a week. SO RANDOM! All the restaurants in all of Sienna, in all of Italy, anywhere... a friend walks in.

- Returned to the hostel that night to a completely flooded room, no hot water, no heat, and all of my books and clothes soaked in dirty radiator water. The guy on duty begged me to help him mop for 30 mintues. Got a free dryer token out of the deal (bastardo!) Anyway... no heat, 5 layers on my top... didn’t sleep much.

- Woke up the next morning and wanted to relax somewhere. Frustrated, tired, pissed off that I was paying to stay places, when I driven out of my apartment and job by assholes and my money is going super fast. (yes, I was being irrational and PMS-y) so decided to go somewhere it wasn’t raining and warmer and as south as I was going to go. Caught the next train to Sorrento (near Naples and Pompeii)

- I have had a lovely night sleep. In Sorrento. Fabulously happy. Reading a wonderful book, The Da Vinci Code (Thanks dad!). Going to go wander the town today. (I have found White Chocolate Gelato!!!!) Pompeii tomorrow (YEAH!!!!!) Met a lovely person who gave me a map of these amazing 20 km hikes through Tuscany, so I think I will go do that after Rome and Florence! (if I can find a person to go with - see, i have grown up! I am less stubborn, I am accepting I am accident prone)

- ok, will respond to emails some time. I return to NY on the 19th with "my man". He returns to Venice on December 1 and I stay in NY to do grad school apps.
Then... I MOVE TO PRAGUE IN JANURARY!

Uhmm... don’t want to spend any more time on this computer... I have Sorrento to explore.

Ciao bambini!
Baci!
